Please be aware:

When Can You Use Fireworks in Bondurant?

Under the new ordinance, consumer fireworks may only be used during the following times:

July 3: From 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM

July 4: From 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM

Fireworks may only be used by individuals aged 18 and older, unless directly supervised by a parent or guardian.

Property Use: Fireworks may only be discharged on your own property or on private property with written permission from the owner. Use on school grounds, public streets, sidewalks, and city parks is strictly prohibited unless specifically authorized by permit.

Prohibited Devices: Aerial shell kits and reloadable tubes are not allowed within city limits. Sky lanterns are only permitted if securely tethered and under the user's control.

Failure to follow these rules can result in a fine of no less than $250 per violation. Enforcement will be taken seriously to protect public safety and maintain the peace and enjoyment of our community during the holidays.

This past week we welcomed 3 new full-time members to the department. They have been working hard on skills from hose pulling, search, vehicle extrication, EMS skills, and more. Thank you to all of the instructors and firefighters that helped along the way.

We just received another thoughtful gift from a local bakery, Small Batch Bakkerij ! The Farmer’s Market was cancelled due to weather so they thought they’d share some goodies with us! ❤️ Thank you so much! Check this place out on FB and at the Farmer’s Market and try their treats! They are sooo good! S’more cookies 🤌🏽

If you haven’t heard of or haven’t had the opportunity to visit FrankieB’s Bakery yet, set a reminder to go! The A shift crew stopped out both Saturday and Sunday to get some treats and they did not disappoint! We were then gifted some additional items from them last night! Thanks so much for thinking of us! Go check them out and support local business! They aren’t open this coming weekend BUT they will be ready to go Father’s Day weekend to help with those last minute gift ideas!

We want to highlight the importance of bystander CPR and AED usage in saving lives.

Immediate CPR can double or triple a cardiac arrest victim's chance of survival.

Over 350,000 cardiac arrests occur outside of hospitals annually in the United States, with many happening at home.

Learning Hands-Only CPR involves two simple steps: call 911 and push hard and fast in the center of the chest.
