A big THANK YOU to all who donated to Open Arms during the North Texas Giving Day event.

Gifts came in online and offline as well. Also, a big thank you to our donor for the matching gift of $4,000. Of our total, $3,623 was given towards the match.. It's amazing how local donors support a local effort.

💙 Building understanding. Inspiring compassion. Strengthening community.

Open Arms Shelter Manager Jackson Backus recently had the opportunity to give students at Sam Rayburn High School a tour and demonstration of how Open Arms works every day to provide a **hand up to our neighbors in need**.

We’re grateful for the chance to share our mission with the next generation and show how compassion, resources, and community support can make a meaningful difference in someone’s life.

Never Forget

Friday marks the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. Commemorative events will be held across the country to remember those who lost their lives and honor the survivors, first responders, rescue and recovery workers, and others affected by the attacks.

While many observances will take place on September 11, some begin earlier this week. A big THANK YOU to Brooklyn Hubbard and her little brother, Stetson, for supporting Open Arms Shelter! 💛

Brooklyn and Stetson held a one-day lemonade stand in town and generously donated the proceeds to the shelter. Brooklyn even stopped by to personally deliver their donation!

We are so grateful for young people with such big hearts and for every act of kindness that helps support our mission. Thank you, Brooklyn and Stetson, for thinking of Open Arms Shelter and making a difference in our community! 🍋💛
