The bond passed and our total tax rate has been lowered. 💜💜

For the 2023 tax year, the Bonham ISD’s Board of Trustees adopted a Maintenance & Operations tax rate of $0.6692 and a Debt Service tax rate of $0.3419, which is a total tax rate of $1.011 ($0.18 less than the tax rate for 2022).

Too close to know for sure. Will have to wait until 5 pm Monday!

The unofficial results indicate 879 votes were cast in favor of the bond package and 876 votes opposed the measure. However, there are three outstanding ballots that will be ruled on Monday, May 8, 2023 at 5:00 p.m.
