As Mental Health Awareness month comes to an end, we wanted to share Sexual Assault Family Violence Investigator Course’s eight facts about survivors and those who serve them.

Read the facts. Share. Have hard conversations.

Last week, we traveled all across Fannin County delivering homemade cookies to our local police departments and constables as a small way to say thank you.

At the Fannin County Family Crisis Center, we work closely with law enforcement every day to support survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. From responding to crisis calls to helping victims find safety, justice, and healing, their partnership is important!

We are so grateful for the officers, deputies, and constables who serve our communities with compassion and dedication. Thank you for the work you do, for the lives you impact, and for being valued partners in helping survivors through some of the hardest moments of their lives.

Did you know? 💜

Years ago, the Fannin County Family Crisis Center held an auction themed “You Hold the Key.” We loved that message so much that we brought it back for our monthly donor campaign to honor our history and the community that has supported survivors for so many years.

Even though we started serving survivors in Fannin County in 1985 through Cooke County Friends of the Family, this month, we celebrate serving Fannin County as a stand alone agency for 29 years. For nearly three decades, we’ve been helping provide safety, healing, hope, and support to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.

When you become a monthly donor, you help make sure that work continues for years to come. Every gift helps us keep showing up for survivors when they need us most. 🩵💜

Summertime has challenges! Our fantastic kids are on break! We have been very fortunate the past summers for some amazing youth groups and others to step up and help! We are excited this month to have milk, veggies, yogurt and chicken ordered! Thank you to all volunteers! Couldn’t do it without you!
