What an incredible year for the Holmes County 4-H Rifle Club!

As we prepare for our Competitive Shoot and End-of-Year Event, we want to extend a huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped make this season such a success.

To our amazing youth shooters - thank you for your hard work, discipline, sportsmanship, and dedication throughout the year. You represented Holmes County 4-H with focus and integrity both on and off the firing line.

To our parents and families - thank you for the countless rides, encouragement, support, and commitment to helping these young people grow through the shooting sports program.

To our volunteers and coaches - thank you for investing your time, knowledge, patience, and leadership into our youth. Programs like this would not be possible without dedicated volunteers who believe in mentoring the next generation.

We would also like to give special recognition to the Fish & Wildlife Foundation of Florida for their ongoing support.

The nonprofit Fish & Wildlife Foundation of Florida (FWFF) seeks to protect Florida’s outstanding animals and plants and the lands and waters they need to survive and is a leader in supporting science-based conservation, research, education, and outdoor recreation. The FWFF grantmaking supports efforts across the state directly benefiting Florida’s environment and citizens. FWFF works closely with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and other public and private partners and has raised and donated more than $71 million for conservation and outdoor recreation, including youth outdoor education. We are so proud of our amazing youth who recently participated in the 4-H Panhandle Poultry Project Show! 🐔👏 Their hard work, dedication, and commitment to learning truly showed in the quality of their birds and their confidence in the show ring. These experiences are helping shape the next generation of leaders in agriculture and beyond.

We’re excited to keep the momentum going with two upcoming opportunities:

🔪 TUESDAY, April 21st - Chicken Processing Day – A hands-on learning experience where youth will gain valuable skills in food systems, responsibility, and understanding where their food comes from.

🎉 SATURDAY, April 25th - FeatherFest Show – Open to all 4-H and FFA members, this is another great chance to showcase projects, build skills, and connect with others who share a passion for poultry.

🐔 4-H Chicken Processing Day – Join Us! 🐔

Mark your calendars for Tuesday, April 21st at 3:30 PM and come be part of our upcoming 4-H Chicken Processing Day! We will be partnering with Covenant Meat Processing to host this program.

Whether you bring your own bird, your neighbor’s bird, or just want to learn by participating in select parts of the process, this is a great hands-on opportunity to build skills and confidence.

💲 Cost: $10 per person
✅ Holmes County 4-H youth attend FREE!
