On April 22, Bonita Springs Firefighters deployed to assist fire crews in Alachua County with the massive Lochloosa Wildfire, which grew to nearly 1,000 acres. For two weeks, Bonita Springs Firefighters, our Brush Truck, and Deputy Chief Wilson worked side-by-side with crews from across the state, battling the wildfire day and night.

We’re grateful that all firefighters returned home safely and without injury, and we are especially proud of the dedication and hard work shown by our Bonita Springs Firefighters throughout this deployment.
