Mornin y'all. Our sirens tested out just fine earlier in the week-so we oughta be ready for spring to actually spring. I hope we don't need them, but they're ready if we do.

Don't forget to spring your clocks forward tonight before you go to bed. Good for night shifters-bad for day shifters. Have a blessed day y'all & thanks for your support.

Good morning y'all. The annual Missouri Severe Weather Drill is scheduled for today. Thursday, March 6, 2014. The drill will take place at 1:30 pm. No severe weather is forecasted for the area so we may participate with activating our sirens for the drill. I have not received confirmation from our dispatch that we will actually sound the sirens, but it we do...it will just be the test. Thanks again to everyone & have a great day.

Howdy folks!!! It brings me great pleasure to announce that as of last week, we have made our goal of $22,000.00. I am humbled to see such care & dedication from all of us in this community to achieve this so quickly. On befalf of myself, the Bonne Terre Public Safety Committee, the residents of Bonne Terre and anyone I may have forgotten to mention-THANK YOU. I hope this system is not ever used, but if needed, we can be sure it will be ready to go. The siren has not arrived yet, but-it shouldn't be very long. Again, from the bottom of my heart-THANK YOU!!!! We still hope to get donations for the costs to upkeep both our emergency systems.
