Good catch! Last night Officer McKeithan and his K9 partner, K9 Champ, conducted a stop on a vehicle. During this stop K9 Champ used the power of his nose and ultimately approximately 16 grams of methamphetamine was recovered. Other items indicative of distribution were also found. The driver was subsequently arrested and lodged, pending felony charges.

Great work by members of our K-9 Unit, working hard to keep our citizens safe with such a great tool!

It has been brought to our attention that an individual may be soliciting money on behalf of the Bonner Springs Police Department K9 Car Show during Tiblow Days.
Please be aware that direct donations can be made in person at the Bonner Springs Police Department. We will never ask you to send donations through Zelle, Venmo, Cash App, gift cards, cryptocurrency, or any other electronic money transfer application.
If you are contacted by someone requesting a donation for the K9 Car Show, we encourage you to contact the Police Department directly to verify the legitimacy of the request before providing any funds.
Thank you for helping us protect our community from fraud and ensuring your donations go to the intended cause.
