Windstorm Update 0200hrs 5-29-2026

As you all know Boundary County is dealing with the impacts of a severe windstorm last night, 05-28-2026.

Power is currently out across the majority of the county and is expected to remain out for the foreseeable future.

There are a significant amount of trees and power-lines still down all across Boundary County.

Resources currently deployed assisting with locating and assessing damage, clearing roadways and identifying downed power-lines and other areas of concern:

✅ All Fire Departments

✅ Boundary County Road & Bridge

✅ Idaho Department of
Transportation

✅ Northern Lights

✅ Law Enforcement

We are actively clearing main travel routes, patrolling, and addressing storm-related hazards.

Please Note:

• Sheriff Dispatch does not have information on power restoration times. Please contact your power company directly for those updates.

• We ask that you do not call Dispatch regarding power outages. This helps keep lines open for true emergencies.

• Only call 911 or Dispatch for active emergencies such as major road blockages, fires, or other immediate threats.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation during this event. We will continue providing updates as conditions change.

Stay safe,

Sheriff Travis Stolley
