Today our team held a mock search with focus on low angle rescue. We used a twin haul rope system with litter extraction.

Approx a week ago BSDRT was blessed with a donation of 8 dual band radios and 8 FRS radios! This is a huge step forward in rectifying communication deficits within our team. We can not thank Carie Bernice Bourgaize and husband enough for this generous donation!!

What a busy weekend for our team!
We had one of our man trackers attend 24 hour training in Sanders Idaho with Joel Hardin Profesional Tracking Services. He finished his novice level 3 book and is moving on to basic tracker. This is 3 years of hard work in the books for him. Congratulations to Jeremy Nelson.
Next, our ropes/tech team worked on low-moderate angle rescues. They worked with our new litter and tightened up their amazing rope skills.
We train hard so that you can play hard. Without each member and their unique skills we wouldn’t be able to serve the community at the level we do.

Today members of our team spent the day teaching the Nasar (National Association for Search and Rescue) Hug-A-Tree program to Valley Veiw Elementary K-4th graders. This is a nationally recognized program that teaches kids ages 5-12 what to do if they find themselves lost or separated from loved ones in both the wilderness and urban setting.
This is the 6th year our team has taught community youth. Each child that receives the program is sent home with an activity book that encourages lessons learned as well as a parents guide and a few small goodies (a whistles, crayons, trading card and sticker) If you or you child have more questions about the Hug-a-tree program please feel free to reach out. We are always happy to answer questions!!!! Next week we will be sharing the program again with Naples Elementary and Mt. Hall Elementary!!!

We want to take a moment to thank all those who attended our Golf Scramble today. With out amazing attendees and amazing sponsors this even wouldnt be possible.
