Boosting Bono!
On August 16th Scout Troop 115 held a promotion to Eagle ceremony in the Bono Community Building. Eric Gongloff has worked hard and earned Eagle status as a Scout. This ceremony was to promote and honor Eric.
Troop 115 has been meeting in Bono for the last few years and have several young Scouts who have achieved Eagle status. Thanks to the Scouts, Scoutmasters , and the parents for their part in making a difference. We are proud to have troop 115 in Bono.

Annual Bono Harvest Festival
Saturday October 17, 2026

Come join the fun as we celebrate fall. There will be arts and craft vendors, food trucks, inflatables, and live music.

If any vendor would like to be part of the festival please email us at [email protected] for registration form and rules or you can pick up form and rules at Bono City Hall. There is a $25 registration fee for all vendors.

City of Bono is Hiring a Full Time position.
The position includes all water, sewer, street, maintenance, parks. We do a lot of labor intensive work. We do a lot of mowing and w**d eating during the summer. We repair all of the city’s water services and water mains. We also do minor street repairs. You will be trained to run all equipment. We take care of the water treatment plant as well as the wastewater plant.
Everyday is different and we have fun while we do it. The work family is great.
Must live within 10 miles of the city limits.
Starting pay $15.86/hr
90 day probation period
Uniforms are supplied by the city as well as laundry service for work uniforms.
1 week of paid vacation after 90 days. 2 weeks after 3 years. 3 weeks after 5 years. You can carry over over to the next year up to 40 hours of Vacation. You receive 8hrs sick time every month this can roll over up to 480 hours of sick leave.
City Vehicle is provided as well.
Paid Health, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance. This does not cost the employee it is paid by the city.
APERS Retirement is fully paid by the City.
MUST work 5 years to be vested in the APERS Retirement.
General Work Schedule Monday-Friday 8-5
Every 4th week employee will be on call from a Friday 5pm- next Friday at 8am, once training is complete. You do get 8 hours overtime pay for being on-call. If you work a holiday it’s double time pay.
Yearly raises per the salary schedule.
Adam does send employees for training. Most training will be local Bono, Jonesboro, Paragould and on occasion Lonoke.
License earned through the state are rewarded with a stipend bonus at the beginning of the year.
End of Year Bonus
13 paid holidays including your birthday
No experience required.

Boosting Bono!
This week, the thing we are doing to boost Bono is that we are holding our third, low cost, spay and neuter clinic. We have partnered with Marked Tree Animal Rescue, (MTAR). to hold three of these clinics this year and by the time this clinic is done we will have spayed and neutered around 500 animals this year. This has been very successful and if you have an animal, you need to have spayed or neutered you may go on the Marked Tree Animal Rescue website and register. There is a waiting list but you may be able to get in.

Due to weather conditions Whole Youth Services will NOT be at the Bono location on Thursday, they will be doing the summer food program at 1700 E Johnson Ave Ste E Jonesboro AR. They will allow you to designate a pick up person if you are already signed up for the program.
