There are eleven new bestsellers, two new movies, six new children's books, and fourteen other new books.

The new bestsellers this week include "Simply Ina: A Barefoot Contessa Cookbook," "Miss Wolcott's Ghost," and "Protocols: An Operating Manual for the Human Body." The new movies this week are "Masters of the Universe" and "One Night Only."

Our Tween & Teen Advisory Group (TAG) welcomes 5th-12th graders to join us to enjoy snacks & make new friends while helping to plan fun programs at the Library & share what they’ve been reading! We meet next week on Tuesday, October 27th at 4pm in the Teen Zone on the main floor. These meetings can count towards silver cord hours, and is also great to include on college applications!

Come on out and bring your friends!

We love our partnership with The Daily Boss for our Saturday Book Club - they come up with the most fun, creative drinks to coincide with the book we are discussing.

We are meeting tomorrow, Saturday October 24th at 11am to discuss 'The Secret Lives Of Murders Wives' by Elizabeth Arnott & everyone is welcome to join us! Hope to see you there :)

Join Brenda Tyrrell, Prevention Specialist from Community & Family Resources for an informative presentation exploring current drug trends impacting our community, with a focus on opioids, stimulants, and emerging substances. Presented on Monday November 2nd at 4:30pm at Ericson Library, this session covers what is driving local usage patterns, signs of substance use, and practical, community-based strategies for prevention and response. Time will be allotted for open questions and resource sharing.

Learn how to get started with birdwatching, discover more about the birds in our area, and get a behind-the-scenes look at what’s inside the library’s new bird-watching backpacks. Open to elementary-aged children and up!

Don't forget to join us tonight, Wednesday October 21st at 6pm at Ericson Library when special guest, actor & artist Autumn Nigro will share tips, tricks and their vast knowledge of applying theatrical and horror makeup. Bring your curiosity, imagination & questions! Autumn will demonstrate materials and techniques for turning “meh” into macabre!

We have a really fun program coming up on Thursday October 29th at 4pm in the Ericson Library Children's Department with Entomology student and artist/illustrator, Kara Lohman. Grades 5+ are invited to come learn about native insects and what they eat and enjoy Kara reading from her new book ‘Bugs Don’t Use Spoons’ There will be all kinds of fun facts & those attending will get to craft their own paper terrarium!
