A big thanks to Sergeant Hayes, Director Moody, and these volunteers!

🧡 A huge thank you to the students from Community-Engaged Leadership at App State who gave up their Saturday for our Student Day of Service, rolling up their sleeves to help clean up graffiti downtown! Your energy and dedication did not go unnoticed.

We also want to thank Town of Boone Police Department Downtown Resource Sergeant Geoff Hayes for his hard work coordinating this trial run event — none of this would have come together without him.

There's still more work ahead, but seeing this eager group of students show up for our downtown community gives us so much hope for what's next. Thank you all! 💪✨

What better way to spend a summer day than with good company, wagging tails, and plenty of smiles! We were excited to join the Glenbridge Health and Rehabilitation community for Dog Days of Summer and enjoyed getting to spend the afternoon with residents and their four-legged friends, and of course, no Dog Days of Summer would be complete without a little dunking!

We want to thank WAMY Community Action for partnering with us and creating another great opportunity for everyone to come together. Thank you to Walmart Boone for providing us with the hot dogs and Feral BBQ for the sides! A special thank you to Watauga Humane Society and High Country Therapy Dogs for bringing some special furry guests who were a highlight of the day! 🐾💙

Events like this are a great reminder of what makes our community so special. Thank you to everyone who came out, shared a smile, and helped make the day one to remember!

Tele spends her days keeping everyone company, making people smile, and reminding us that sometimes the best part of the day is getting to see a friendly face (or a very good dog).

We had a great time getting out into the community for Dog Days of Summer at Deerfield Ridge! It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with residents, enjoy some time with our community, and make new connections. 🌭🐾

We are especially grateful to WAMY Community Action for partnering with us, grilling up the hot dogs donated by Walmart Boone (thank you!), and helping to make this community outreach event possible. 🎉

Thank you to Watauga Humane Society and High Country Therapy Dogs for bringing your furry friends and providing plenty of smiles throughout the day. Partnerships like this allow us to come together and create positive experiences for the community we serve. 🐕

Originally from Kansas, Officer Lundgren has always known that he wanted to pursue a career in law enforcement. He is excited to begin this new chapter and, most of all, get out on the road and start serving the Boone community.
