This week 5th grade completed a service project at Wine-to-Water. They packaged over 600 water purification kits that volunteers will assemble for distribution to areas that don't have potable water. Great Job!

8th graders completed the final step of their year-long trout project. They raised trout from eggs starting in the fall and released them into the wild on Monday. Along the way they learned about the importance of water quality!

A little late on the post, but 2nd grade did an amazing job with their learning celebration- the culmination of their study of dinosaurs and fossils.

5th grade was the first class to go to Buffalo Cove this spring. Working and playing outside together creates stronger classrooms! One cool thing about this trip was that one of the parent chaperones went to Buffalo Cove with the first class, 21 years ago! Yeah Hannah!

Fourth grade had a wonderful visit with Bonnie at the Watauga Agriculture Center! They worked hard to clear debris and litter, remove invasive plant species, and plant live stakes and trees around a local creek —all to help create a more sustainable habitat for wildlife.

5th graders thought this human body project was "too hard"...but they perservered and look at their great work! Students chose which body system to model and what materials to use.

Two Rivers 1st graders finished up their "Earth, Moon, and Sun" expedition. They celebrated with Math on the Moon, building a spaceshiip, and a Learning Celebration. I loved reading their Earth, Moon, and Sun poetry.
