Watauga Medics Emergency Medical Transport Services Watauga Medics is the primary 911 EMS transport service for Watauga County, NC. In 2015 we ran close to 5,400 calls.

We serve 313 square miles and a population of 53,000 + residents. We staff three 24 hour advanced life support ambulances and one 9 hour advanced life support ambulance.

Watauga Medics is hiring for a part time position (3 days a week, 8:00am-5:00pm) in our Boone billing office. Preferred experience with insurance claim submissions. Our Story

Watauga Medics is the primary 911 and transport service for Watauga County, NC. We serve 313 square miles and a population of 53,000 + residents. We staff three 24 hour ambulances, a 12 hour ambulance during peak volumes and a 9 hour ambulance. All crews are paramedic level. In 2017 we ran close to 6,000 calls. We, currently, operate out of 4 bases, 2 in the town of Boone, 1 in Vilas, NC covering the northwestern end of the county, and our 9 hour crew (7a-4p) is stationed in Blowing Rock at Blowing Rock Fire and Rescue.
