Update - NB lanes are open and SB has one open. Please use caution in the area this evening while they work to open the other SB lane.

Route 220 closed in the area of 4900 Virgil Goode Highway due to major vehicle accident. Avoid the area through the evening.

We pray our community never forgets.
July 26, 2010…A routine summer day that would change our fire department, our community, and two families forever. Who’d have ever thought that a response to a fire would result in such heartbreak and loss? Two brave, strong men doing what they had done thousands of times, unselfishly giving their time and efforts to help someone in need.
It’s so hard to believe that 16 years have passed since the Lord called Posey Dillon and Danny Altice home.
We vow to never forget their sacrifices and will always recognize their love for their department and community.
We can all learn from their example. What can you do today to make a positive difference in someone’s life?
May God bless the Dillon and Altice families on this day and each day ahead.
