City offices will be closed on Monday, September 7th in observance of Labor Day.

MAYOR’S YOUTH COUNCIL — MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN BOONEVILLE!

Applications are rolling in and we are excited!

We’re excited about the opportunities ahead for our Mayor’s Youth Council! This group of young leaders will have the opportunity to serve our community, learn about local government, develop leadership skills, and help shape the future of Booneville.

What will you do to inspire and improve our community?

⭐ Reminder of the importance of the 150 HOURS OF SERVICE CHALLENGE

One of our goals is to encourage our young people to make a real difference through community service. Members will have opportunities to work toward 150 hours of service, building leadership experience while giving back to the community.

At the end of the year, we want our Youth Council members to be able to say:
“I helped with that project and I made Booneville better.”

We believe our young people are not just the leaders of tomorrow — they are leaders today.
We can’t wait to see their ideas, their energy, and their vision for the future of Booneville!

LABOR DAY WEEK TRASH SCHEDULE:

Waste Connections will run their normal route through the Labor Day Holiday. Everyone will need to have their trash out by 6am on their normal service day.

REMINDER OF OUR POLICY ANNOUNCEMENT:

Trash Cart Policy-
Waste Connections trash policy states only Garbage that’s in the physical Trash Cart and ONLY (2) Up To 33-Gallon Bags that are beside the Trash Cart can be collected. Trash needs to be out by 6am on the schedule collection date. Breakdown boxes inside the Trash Cart. If you need an extra Trash Cart added to your account contact Booneville Gas & Water 662-728-6259.

Great things are happening at Marathon!

Prentiss County & City of Booneville board officials had the privilege of touring Marathon Cheese Corporation’s operations today. On the tour, officials got to see the newly installed slicing line which is the center piece of the company’s recent expansion announcement. This line is a multimillion dollar investment by the company. Well over 40 million pounds of cheese will be processed in this facility this year. After 6 decades of successful operations, it’s exciting to see Marathon’s commitment to the community and hopefully doing business for another 60+ years.
