The Washington County Agricultural Education Center is a 67 acre facility that is located 8 miles south of interstate 70 on Rt. 65(Sharpsburg Pike). It is a multi-use facility that can host your next trade show, company picnic, annual club event, horse event, concert or tractor pull, as well as many other events. The facility is available for rent per building or by rental of the entire facility.

Rental fees vary based on your group/organizations tax-exempt status or if you are a county or non-county resident. Please visit our website at http://www.washco-md.net/public_works/parks/agctr.shtm to view the detailed list of the facility and the fee structure. Center is also the home of the Washington County Rural Heritage Museum and Village and the University of Maryland Washington County Extension Office. This page is monitored Monday-Friday between the hours of 7am – 3pm. Submissions or posts including the following are subject to removal:

10 a.m. - Potato Pickin' Registration

11 a.m. - Potato Pickin' Begins
Three age groups for competition - 2 to 4 years, 5 to 8 years and 9 to 11 years ... three largest potatoes in each age group will be awarded a ribbon and gift!!!

Lots more fun on-site throughout museums, homestead and village!!!

Don't forget new food feature - BBQ chicken!!!

Last evening, the Washington County Agricultural Education Center Advisory Board recognized Denny Reader for his dedicated 16 years of service on the Board.

Board of County Commissioners Vice President Jeff Cline and Washington County Deputy Director of Public Works Jaime Dick were also in attendance to recognize Denny and celebrate his years of commitment to the Agricultural Education Center and the Washington County community.

Washington County extends its sincere appreciation to Denny for his many years of dedicated service, leadership, and commitment to the Agricultural Education Center. His contributions have helped support the continued success of this important County facility and the community it serves.

A fun-filled weekend is coming your way as multiple organizations team up for two great family-friendly events!

🥔 Saturday, August 22 — Spudfest

The Washington County Rural Heritage Museum kicks off Spudfest at 10 AM with registration for the kids’ potato harvest, followed by fun activities throughout the day!

🚜 Sunday, August 23 — Antique Tractor Pull

Starting at 11 AM the Washington County Antique Tractor Clb will take over with their Antique Tractor Pull. Come enjoy the sights, sounds, and excitement of these vintage tractors!

Bring the whole family and make a weekend of it! A fun-filled weekend awaits! 🌾🚜🥔
