The Boonton Township Fire Department express our deepest condolences and prayers to the family and friends of Town of Boonton Councilman and Fire Commissioner Cy Wikelsky.
Rest In Peace

It is with deep sadness that the Boonton Fire Department announces the passing of Cy Wikelsky.

Cy was a former Fire Commissioner, Councilman, and, above all, one of Boonton’s greatest champions. His love for this town was evident in everything he did.

Although he was never a firefighter, Cy became one of the first non-members of the Boonton Fire Department to carry a fire pager. When the tones dropped, he responded—not because he had to, but because he wanted to stand beside those who served his community. He wore his Boonton Fire Department jacket with immense pride, and his unwavering support of our members never went unnoticed.

Few people have given so much of themselves to the Town of Boonton. Cy believed in this community, believed in its firefighters, and made sure we always knew he was in our corner.

On behalf of the officers and members of the Boonton Fire Department, we extend our heartfelt condolences to Cy’s family and friends.

Rest easy, Cy. Thank you for your friendship, your dedication, and your unwavering support. Your name will continue to echo through the halls of our firehouse for generations to come.

The Boonton Fire Department had no greater friend than you.
