FUN FRIDAY: This morning, students arrived with a fun "shark attack." The sharks' arrivals were assisted by Mrs. Jackson and Mrs. Strubel. 🩷🩵

ALL HANDS ON DECK: Yesterday’s unexpected evacuation at Hannah Cole Primary showed just how much preparation, practice, and teamwork matter. Students and staff evacuated after smoke from an overheated HVAC blower motor was detected in a hallway.

Only one week into the school year, our Pre-K and kindergarten students did a fantastic job lining up and following directions. Our first- and second-grade students remembered what they had learned during previous fire drills. We are so proud of them all! 💙

At BHS, FCCLA members and Pathways to Teaching students joined teachers and staff in keeping our youngest Pirates comfortable and engaged. Students watched a movie, played with Play-Doh, sang songs, and enjoyed activities while everyone pitched in wherever help was needed.

Our maintenance team and local emergency personnel quickly addressed the situation and prepared the building for the students’ safe return.

Although the morning did not go as planned, it showed that Boonville Schools is truly “All Hands on Deck” for student success!

HOMECOMING PARADE REGISTRATION: 🎭

It's September, and Homecoming is this month! Mrs. Margie Brimer and the BHS Student Council are organizing this year’s Homecoming Parade, themed Boonville on Broadway! The parade will begin at 2 p.m. on Friday, September 25.

All participating groups must register—even if you participate every year. Only registered entries will have a reserved spot.

We’re introducing HomeTown Ticketing tonight! Fans can pay with cash, an athletics pass, a card, tap to pay—or purchase tickets in advance and scan at the gate. We appreciate our Pirate fans as we get this new system underway!

All of our BHS and LSE student-athletes are working hard to compete this season, and they appreciate fans coming out to cheer them on!

WELCOME TO THE PIRATE FAMILY! 💙🏴‍☠️

Please join us in welcoming Ms. Cheri Foster to Boonville Schools as a food service team member at Hannah Cole Primary!

Ms. Foster comes to Boonville after spending the past three school years with Jackson R-2 School District, where she worked as a cook and also served as a bus monitor for students with special needs. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Family Studies with a minor in Social Work from Southeast Missouri State University.

Family is especially important to Ms. Foster. She is the proud mom of three children and grandmother of seven, with another grandbaby on the way!

After being part of another school community for the past several years, Ms. Foster says she is very happy to have found another "school family." We're glad that family is Boonville Schools!

WELCOME TO THE PIRATE FAMILY! 💙🏴‍☠️

Please join us in welcoming Mr. Phillip Gillespie to Boonville Schools as our Carpentry Instructor at BTEC!

Mr. Gillespie brings 29 years of experience in the construction industry to the classroom. As he begins his first year in education, he is looking forward to sharing that real-world experience with students and helping teach and guide the next generation entering the skilled trades.

Mr. Gillespie and his wife, Toni (who is now the Marketing instructor at BTEC), have two daughters, Jamie and Hazel. Outside of work, he leads men's and small groups through his church, studies theology, tends a garden, and says he enjoys "spoiling his ladies."

Welcome to BTEC, Mr. Gillespie! We're excited to have your experience and expertise available to our students.
