It’s always a great thing when experience walks through the door.

We’re lucky to have Nick Greenleaf on our team, bringing 11 years of hands-on experience working with and around propane. That kind of knowledge is invaluable, and even better, he’s taking the time to pass it along to the rest of the guys and girls in our department.

From safety practices to real-world scenarios, sharing that expertise makes all of us better, safer, and more prepared for whatever comes our way.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day from the Boothbay Harbor Fire Department! 🍀🚒

Today, we celebrate a symbol that means a little more to us than just good luck, the four-leaf clover.

Each leaf stands for something firefighters carry on every call: faith in our training, hope for a safe outcome, love for the community we serve, and that extra bit of luck that helps bring everyone home.

In this line of work, we prepare for everything we can, but we also know sometimes you need that little bit of Irish luck on your side.

So whether you’re out celebrating or staying in, remember to stay safe, look out for one another, and keep a little luck with you today.

Our crew recently completed their CPR and First Aid training, ensuring all members remain up to date on the latest lifesaving techniques. Regular training like this helps keep our firefighters prepared to respond quickly and effectively when medical emergencies happen in our community.

During the refresher, members reviewed CPR techniques, proper chest compressions, rescue breathing, and essential first aid skills used to care for patients until additional medical help arrives. Practicing these skills helps ensure our crew is ready to act when seconds matter most.
