🚧 Traffic Advisory: Route 452 Closure Next Weekend 🚧

PennDOT has announced that Route 452 (Market Street) will be closed next weekend for demolition of the eastbound side of the U.S. 322 (Conchester Highway) bridge in Upper Chichester Township.

What you need to know:
• 📅 Closure: Friday, February 6 at 9:00 PM through Monday, February 9 at 6:00 AM (weather permitting)
• 🚫 Route 452 (Market Street) will be closed between Bethel Avenue and Story Road
• 🚗 U.S. 322 will remain open with one lane in each direction
• 🔁 Detours will be in place for both northbound and southbound Route 452 traffic
• ⏱️ Expect delays and allow extra travel time

This work is part of PennDOT’s project to improve safety and traffic flow along U.S. 322.

Delaware County has declared a disaster emergency effective January 23rd in anticipation of winter storm fern. Residents urged to limit travel during the storm, prepare for several days of winter conditions, and check on neighbors and loved ones. Follow guidance from local officials and 1st responders. As of January 7, 2026, a section of Route 322 near Market Street will be closed for multiple hours due to an accident. Motorists are advised to follow the directions of Fire Police in the area to ensure safe passage.
