We are excited to announce the Cowasuck Band of the Pennacook Abenaki and Indigenous NH Collaborative Collective have partnered to produce a new documentary called ‘Retracing Footsteps Hanna Dustin and the Abenaki’ has been completed! This 60 minute documentary uncovers the documented truth (and lies) behind the legendary story and what effect this fable has had on American history.

The imposing 25-foot granite statue of Hannah Duston was erected in Boscawen in 1874, on the site where she became a folk hero for a daring escape from Native American captors nearly 200 years before.
