Last month, HHC Soldiers got to conduct some awesome training on the EST 2000! The Engagement Skills Trainer (EST) 2000 is a virtual simulation system used by the U.S. Army to provide realistic, cost-effective, and safe weapons training without using live ammunition. Soldiers can practice individual and crew-served weapons, marksmanship, and tactical scenarios, receiving immediate feedback and enabling extensive after-action reviews. The system utilizes computer-generated imagery and video to replicate weapons performance and training environments, supporting various training modes like marksmanship, collective tactics, and judgmental use of force.

Congratulations to SPC Spikes on graduating BLC today! BLC, or Basic Leaders Course, is the foundational leadership training for Soldiers in the U.S. Army, designed to prepare them for their first promotion to the Noncommissioned Officer (NCO) ranks, typically Specialist or Corporal to Sergeant. The non-MOS specific course provides essential leadership, communication, training, and problem-solving skills, equipping Soldiers to lead team-level units and support squad-level operations in various environments.

Yesterday HHC Soldiers got to enjoy a little down time during their MWR Day. MWR Day, also known as Morale, Welfare, and Recreation Day, is a designated day or event focused on providing recreational activities and support services to military personnel and their families. It affords Soldiers the chance to relax, have fun, and connect with others. Our favorite activity was obviously the pool!

HHC Soldiers had the opportunity to run through the Confidence Course this week! The Army's Confidence Course, also known as an obstacle course, is a training event that challenges Soldiers' physical and mental abilities to build confidence and teamwork. It's designed to help Soldiers overcome fears of heights and cultivate a daring spirit.

Look closely at the pictures for a couple of good laughs! But don't worry, there were 0 injuries. Just a great day of training.

HHC Soldiers are currently at Annual Training, and have been training on CLS this week! The US Army's Combat Lifesaver (CLS) program trains non-medical soldiers to provide advanced first aid and life-saving procedures in combat situations. The 40-hour course bridges the gap between basic life support and the advanced skills of combat medics. CLS training is credited with increasing soldiers' survival rate from 80% to over 90%.
