From bold custom colors to patriotic graphics, these final fender projects showcase the craftsmanship, creativity, and precision our students have developed this semester. Students completed the full refinishing process — including prep work, sanding, masking, painting, and finishing — to produce professional-quality results.

These hands-on projects give students real-world experience in automotive refinishing while building career-ready skills for the collision repair industry. Great work by everyone involved! 👏🚗

Today, we celebrate the incredible careers of two outstanding teachers whose dedication has impacted generations of students and families.

🍎 Charles Adams retires after 23 years of service in education, leaving behind a legacy of commitment, encouragement, and care for every student who walked through his classroom doors.

📚 Kathye Blackburn retires after an extraordinary 53 years in education — a truly inspiring milestone that reflects a lifetime devoted to teaching, mentoring, and shaping young minds.

Together, they have given decades of wisdom, compassion, and leadership to education, and their influence will continue far beyond the classroom.

Please join us in congratulating Charles and Kathye on their well-earned retirement and thanking them for the countless lives they have touched through the years. 💙👏

Barber I classes completed Infection Control Certification course through Barbicide. Students must pass an exam covering health, safety, rules, and regulations when working with the public.
The course also teaches how to help prevent the spread of harmful germs and diseases. We are so proud of all of our Barber I students for this accomplishment!

Keeping kids fed over the summer costs a pretty penny, but Bossier Schools is coming to the rescue with FREE, nutritious meal boxes – and there are no income restrictions!

Starting Tuesday, May 26, any child age 18 and under is eligible for nutritious meal boxes at four drive-through pickup sites: Benton Middle, W.T. Lewis Elementary, Haughton Middle and Parkway High.

Each box includes 7 shelf stable breakfasts & lunches (no refrigeration or heating needed)
This USDA Summer Food Service Program is completely FREE
Curbside pickups are from 7-11 a.m. every Tuesday, May 26-June 23 and July 7-July 28.

Our seniors wrapped up their final welding project by building an incredible custom fire pit just in time for their last day. From design to fabrication, they put their skills to the test—and the results speak for themselves. 💪🛠️

We’re proud of the hard work, teamwork, and craftsmanship these students have shown all year long. This project is more than just metal—it’s a symbol of everything they’ve learned and achieved.

Congrats, seniors! We can’t wait to see where your skills take you next. 🎓🔥

Our Medical Assistant students have officially completed their program and were proudly pinned—a symbol of their hard work, dedication, and commitment to patient care. 🩺

These students have put in countless hours of learning, training, and hands-on experience to prepare for their futures in the medical field. We couldn’t be more proud of their achievements and the bright paths ahead of them.
