TESTIMONIAL THURSDAY |

This season, the East Rutherford Cavaliers showed what can happen when talent, hard work, perseverance, and belief come together.

Now, they stand as the 2026 3A Western Regional Champions and are competing for a State Championship.

Their journey is more than a baseball story, itโ€™s a testimony.

A testimony to dedication.
A testimony to teamwork.
A testimony to what young people can accomplish when they put heart into it.

RCS Education Matters is proud to celebrate these student-athletes, coaches, families, and supporters who have represented Rutherford County with excellence and heart.

Good luck, Cavs!

Why RCS? ๐ŸŽ“

Because graduation is never just about a diploma.

Itโ€™s about the teachers who stayed after class.
The coaches who pushed students to grow.
The friendships built in classrooms, on fields, on stages, and in hallways.
The moments of challenge, growth, faith, laughter, and accomplishment that shaped the journey along the way.

Now that graduation season has come to a close, weโ€™re celebrating not only what our students achieved โ€” but who theyโ€™ve become.

Congratulations to all of our graduates. Once an RCS student, always part of the RCS family. โค๏ธ

MYTH BUSTER MONDAY |

Myth: The end of the school year is all about high-stakes testing.

Fact: It's also a time to acknowledge and celebrate the ways our schools invest in our families and communities.

This spring, five RCS elementary schools partnered with the American Heart Association to bring the Kids Heart Challenge to their students and families, and the results were remarkable.

2,200 students and families received heart healthy information. 105 families learned Hands-Only CPR and how to recognize the warning signs of a stroke. And together, RCS schools raised $9,775 in lifesaving donations for the American Heart Association.

That kind of impact doesn't happen by accident. It happens because of educators who say yes to opportunities that go beyond the classroom and who understand that healthy, informed families make stronger communities.

Three schools led the way:

๐Ÿ† #1 Rutherfordton Elementary, led by Andrew McDaniel

๐Ÿ† #2 Forest City-Dunbar Elementary, led by Adam Cooper

๐Ÿ† #3 Harris Elementary, led by Kendra Henson

And every participating school deserves recognition:

Ellenboro Elementary
Forest City-Dunbar Elementary
Harris Elementary
Pinnacle Elementary
Rutherfordton Elementary

Testing matters. But so does teaching a parent how to save a life.

To our students, families, and the dedicated educators who made this possible โ€” thank you. This is what RCS schools do.

Congratulations to the Class of 2026!

We are closely monitoring the weather forecast and will continue to do so throughout the afternoon and evening. If necessary, we will utilize a delay in hopes of providing the best opportunity for clearer weather and the celebration our students deserve.

Please come prepared for possible rain and wet conditions. We encourage guests to take appropriate rain precautions before arriving on campus.

Due to field and parking conditions, some areas typically used for parking may be unavailable this evening. Families may want to consider carpooling when possible.

Thank you for your understanding, patience, and support as we work to honor this special moment for our seniors and their families.

We look forward to celebrating the East Rutherford High School Class of 2026 tonight! ๐ŸŽ“
