𝗔𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗔𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀:
• Old Sunshine Road (service interruption for the entire duration)
• Bostic Sunshine Road and Harrison Street (temporary disruptions may occur)

This interruption is necessary to connect the new water line on Old Sunshine Road.

In the event of inclement weather or a system emergency, this outage may be rescheduled.

Old Sunshine Water Off

9:12 am: Water on Old Sunshine Road will be off for less than an hour as contractors locate a service.

Update: 3:30 pm-water has been restored on Old Sunshine Road.

WATER OUTAGE OLD SUNSHINE ROAD

The Town has a water main break on Old Sunshine Rd due to construction. Residents on Old Sunshine will be without water for approximately 1 hour. At this time, we anticipate other areas will not be impacted.

Boil Water Advisory Lifted

The boil water advisory has been lifted after the Town of Forest City completed the required water sampling and testing, which confirmed that the water is safe for consumption.

The North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality Asheville Regional Office was notified regarding the advisory, and Town of Forest City staff collected distribution system samples to meet all required testing standards.

We appreciate the dedicated efforts of the Town of Forest City Water Department and the employees from other departments who worked diligently to repair the water outage as quickly as possible and to ensure the safety and reliability of our water system.

The Water Boil Advisory for Bostic water customers and surrounding area has been lifted.

The Town of Forest City lifts the boil water advisory after required sampling and testing verified the water to be safe.

NC DEQ Asheville Regional Office was contacted about the boil water advisory. Town staff collected samples from the distribution system for the required testing.

TOWN OF BOSTIC BOIL WATER ADVISORY

The Town of Bostic has issued a Boil Water Advisory for all customers.

As a result of the water main break that feeds the Town of Bostic and subsequent repair work, water service interruptions and periods of low or no water pressure have occurred. When water pressure drops below acceptable levels, there is an increased risk that contaminants could enter the water distribution system.

As a precaution, customers are advised to:
* Boil all water used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, and preparing food.
* Bring water to a rolling boil for at least one minute, then allow it to cool before use.
* Alternatively, use bottled water for consumption and food preparation.

This advisory is expected to remain in effect for 24 hours. Customers will be notified when the advisory is lifted and the water is confirmed safe for normal use.

The water main repair is currently estimated to take approximately six hours. Customers in the surrounding area may experience a loss of water service during the repair, and water pressure may be impacted in other areas of the system.
