Boston is the City of Champions—and our young athletes prove exactly why! We had the honor of celebrating our youth athletic champions from across the city last night at our 2nd annual Celebration of Champions.
For Boston’s students and youth athletes, good is never good enough.
They come together with their teammates, follow their dreams no matter the challenges, and play the long game—because titles like these don’t come from a single match or meet. It takes resilience, determination, and practice over an entire season—early mornings and late nights, between school and homework, jobs and other commitments.
That dedication is why they’ve won titles across football, cheer, basketball, soccer, track and field, baseball, softball, volleyball, swim, cross country, flag football, ice hockey, street hockey and more.
These athletes are constantly setting records and raising the bar, and I could not be more proud of each and every one of them. They come from neighborhoods all across our city and represent communities from all across the world—and all of them show us what it means to be a champion.
Congratulations, everyone! And a special congratulations to our Spirit of Sport Award Winner, TechBoston Academy's very own Edgar Santana Castro.
