We’re thrilled to share photos of the new Bright Space created by Bright Horizons at Brigid’s Crossing, a shelter for young mothers and their children. Designed to be a warm, welcoming, and supportive environment, the Bright Space features comfortable seating, a children’s activity area, age-appropriate furnishings, and a collection of books focused on parenting and baby care. Thoughtful touches throughout the room help create a place where families can learn, connect, and spend meaningful time together. Thank you to Bright Horizons for bringing this vision to life and creating a space that will support young families for years to come.

Catholic Charities Boston on Wednesday welcomed to the Yawkey Center a semi-truck carrying 40,000 pounds of food donations from the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Catholic Charities President and CEO Kelley Tuthill was joined by Archdiocese of Boston Auxiliary Bishop Cristiano Barbosa, Elder Allen Haynie and Sister Tracy Browning from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and Eugene F. Rivers III for a special event to celebrate the truck’s arrival, and to recognize the incredible partnerships and the unifying efforts to address food insecurity across the country.

As part of America250, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is sending 250 trucks across the country, and the one that arrived at Yawkey marks the halfway point! The donations brought by the truck will be distributed on Saturday to Greater Boston churches, faith communities and organizations, as well as the Yawkey Center food pantry.

Catholic Charities Boston is thrilled to again welcome student summer interns from the University of Notre Dame. Over the coming weeks, the six students will work in our food pantries and child care centers and gain firsthand experience with the life-changing mission of Catholic Charities.

The students recently completed their orientation, which included tours of the Labouré and Yawkey centers, as well as a lunch with Notre Dame Alumni Association Catholic Charities Boston President & CEO Kelley Tuthill, Catholic Charities USA Board of Directors member Tara Kenney, and Catholic Charities Boston Trustee Keith Anderson.

The countdown is on for Sunset Point Camp's 107th season! We are incredibly grateful to our friends at Columbia Threadneedle, who helped to get the camp ready to welcome 442 campers this summer. The volunteers painted, made beds, and spruced up the property.

And thank you to the Catholic Charities Boston trustees, staff, Friends of Sunset Point Camp, volunteers, and neighbors who attended our kick-off luncheon on Wednesday, June 10. They learned about Sunset Point Camp’s history, what campers will be doing this summer, how to get involved, and saw the camp’s newly renovated basketball court, made possible by a generous donor whose mission is to bring joy to youth.
