Simmons MSLA

Simmons MSLA Massachusetts School Library Association Student Group at Simmons College Graduate School of Library Science.

The purpose of Simmons MSLA is to:

-To provide an academic support network for students involved in the GSLIS or other school library teacher program and for students who have an interest in school libraries.

-To serve as a liaison between future librarians and the MSLA parent organization.

-To provide resources to students, including involvement in the MSLA annual conference and holding regula

rly scheduled meetings.

-To expose students to speakers, activities and events in the area that are applicable to school, children's, and young adult librarianship.

The career fair is tomorrow, 4/17, 4-6pm on the Boston campus. It’s open to all SLIS students (Boston, West, and online) and recent grads. It’s worth going to see what’s out there beyond schools. (Melanie did mention at least one school district will be there, too!)
