Activities Director Juleissy helped brighten residents’ day by handing out beautiful flowers throughout the campus in honor of Mother’s Day, spreading smiles, joy, and appreciation across our community.

Proms aren’t just for high school seniors!

Residents enjoyed a magical afternoon of music, dancing, laughter, and memories at our Senior Prom celebration. Everyone dressed to impress as we crowned our Prom King and Queen and danced the day away to wonderful entertainment by Kalifornia Karl.

We were honored to celebrate five incredible residents who have reached 100 years and beyond, surrounded by family, friends, staff, and community members. The afternoon was filled with joy, laughter, cherished memories, and heartfelt recognition for these remarkable individuals and the lives they have lived.

Mother’s Day at The German Centre was a beautiful celebration filled with music, laughter, and heartfelt moments. Residents across campus enjoyed a special day honoring the mothers, grandmothers, and mother figures in our community with thoughtful tokens of gratitude and joyful entertainment.

A special thank you to Gina O’Donoghue for providing lively entertainment that had residents smiling, singing along, and enjoying time together campus wide. Residents also enjoyed delicious churros prepared by Activity Director Juleissy, adding the perfect sweet touch to the celebration.

This past Friday, May 1st, we kicked off the start of May within the Life Enrichment department with a lively and spirited Kentucky Derby celebration. Residents across campus came together to enjoy an afternoon filled with music, laughter, and a strong sense of community.

A special thank you to entertainer Mossie, who brought great energy and charm to the event, keeping residents engaged and smiling throughout. From festive moments to wonderful company, it was a beautiful way to welcome the new month.

Our kitchen team added to the celebration by serving refreshing nonalcoholic mint juleps and warm cinnamon rolls, perfectly complementing the Derby theme and creating an extra special experience for our residents.

We look forward to a May filled with meaningful experiences, engaging programs, and continued opportunities for our residents to connect and enjoy.

Edelweiss Village residents enjoyed a special visit to the Roxbury Latin campus, where they explored a vibrant student art exhibit filled with creativity and inspiration. This meaningful outing, arranged by our Activity Director Marie, brought together art, conversation, and intergenerational connection.

Spring was in full bloom at the German Centre thanks to another beautiful Sip & Paint session led by Ingrid from Life Enrichment.

Residents from across the campus came together to create vibrant sunflower scenes set against a calming blue backdrop, all while enjoying refreshing iced tea. It was a wonderful afternoon filled with creativity, connection, and a touch of seasonal cheer.

Our “Stepping Up for Seniors” Walkathon on Saturday, April 18 was a tremendous success, and we are deeply grateful to everyone who helped make it so meaningful. Together, we raised over $33,000 in support of the residents and programs at German Centre.

A special thank you to the The Roxbury Latin School 9th-grade students, whose energy and dedication remain at the heart of this event. The boys raised nearly $11,000 through their own efforts, an extraordinary achievement. Thanks to the return of our generous matching donor, $5,000 of their contributions were fully matched.

We are equally grateful to our corporate partners, who joined us in strong support this year. With The Cooperative Bank serving as our lead sponsor, we also thank Applied Form + Space LLC Architects, Atlantic Charter Insurance Co., Inc., Elge Plumbing & Heating Co., Geriatric Medical, HPC Foodservice, LC Anderson, Louis J.
