“The publication of 804 CMR 1.00 today represents the culmination of an extensive and thoughtful process that prioritized transparency, public participation, and the Commission’s commitment to fair and efficient administration of the Commonwealth’s anti-discrimination laws,” said MCAD Chair Sunila Thomas George. “We are grateful to the many individuals, organizations, practitioners, and community members who took the time to share their expertise and perspectives throughout this process. Their input was invaluable in helping shape these updated regulations, and I am truly excited in how the Commission will grow to better serve the people of the Commonwealth with more explicit rules of procedure.”

Happy Juneteenth!

Members of our team were honored to join the MA Black & Latino Caucus for the Juneteenth Flag Raising at the State House. The event brought together state leaders and community members, including Governor Maura Healey, Massachusetts Inaugural Poet Laureate Regie Gibson, and vocalist Keniqua Smith, who performed *Lift Every Voice and Sing*, long recognized as the Black National Anthem.

As we celebrate 250 years of our nation and 80 years of the MCAD, we affirm that Black history is American history. Black leaders, innovators, and communities have shaped our Commonwealth and driven progress throughout our shared history. The MCAD is proud to advance a Commonwealth where civil rights are non-negotiable and equal opportunity is for all.
