Founded by Kelly Brilliant in 2001, the very first Opening Our Doors was a recognition and celebration of the literal opening of the doors of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.

25 years later, that spirit continues.

Each year, the Fenway Cultural District opens pathways between institutions, neighborhoods, and cultural spaces—creating opportunities for culture to be shared, experienced, and celebrated together, rather than contained.

We thank Fenway Alliance Board of Directors Guest Speakers, H. Parker James, Co-founder & Board Member Charlesgate Alliance and Dan Adams, Director/Professor, NEU School of Architecture & Partner, Landing Studios for their informative, enlightening, and inspiring presentation on the transformative Charlesgate project whose ultimate goal is to restore the heart of the historic Emerald Necklace, the Charlesgate connection between the Back Bay Fens, the Commonwealth Mall, the Esplanade, and the Charles River. A gorgeous evening in the stunning Kelleher Rose Garden supporting Boston Parks and Recreation Department at Mayor Michelle Wu 吳弭 Rose Garden Party. Co-Exec Director Kelly Brilliant has served on the Host Committee for many years and this year saw a record in monies raised and attendance. The Fenway Alliance Board of Directors was well-represented and we thank them for their ongoing support for Boston Parks and the Back Bay Fens! What a beautiful evening! One of our favorite events of the year City and Community Engagement Heart of the Community awards and this year hosted at the Fenway Center on St Stephen’s street. A lovely evening of community and congrats to all the honorees, including South End Soccer The Soccer Unity Project and Caroline Foscato for their work bringing unity through soccer to Boston. Can’t wait for the Unity Cup! ⚽️💙❤️

Wonderful evening at the annual Fenway Ball overlooking the iconic Fenway Park! What a backdrop for an inspiring evening emceed beautifully by Carol Lasky. Special guest speaker Ted Landsmark reminded us all about the power of community, the arc of justice, and the real work that goes into creating a neighborhood for everyone. is leading the way in the Fenway and we are honored to support their mission as we collaborate on many projects together. It was inspiring to be among so many people doing the work in The Fenway! 💚🌲🌱
