In celebration of the 250th anniversary of the United States, the Boston Public Library is highlighting 250 books that explore our nation's voices, ideas, and experiences across time. No list can tell the whole story, but we hope readers of all ages will find an intriguing entry point here. Borrow any title with your library card and start building a list of your own.

Have you ever used the sun’s rays to make s’mores?
Join us on Monday, August 10 at 2pm for this STEM adventure as we use a cardboard box, household items, graham crackers, marshmallows and chocolate to create an ooey, gooey dessert! Children under age 8 will need an adult partner. All materials will be provided while supplies last.

Celebrate our Summer Reading theme, "Unearth A Story," at this special dino-themed story time at Chill on Park! We'll have lots of fun with a dinosaur-themed story, songs, and a craft activity afterwards. Best for ages 3+.

Birds are not just related to dinosaurs; they are dinosaurs! Modern birds evolved from small, carnivorous dinosaurs in the Late Jurassic period. Wingmasters rehabilitate raptors that include eagles, hawks, falcons, and owls. This presentation will incorporate five live birds. Children aged 6-12 will learn about conservation efforts for these wild animals.
