Mayor's Office for Immigrant Advancement - Boston Serving the City of Boston's 200k+ immigrants through educational, economic, and cultural programs since 1998.

The Mayor’s Office for Immigrant Advancement (MOIA) strives to strengthen the ability of immigrants to fully and equitably participate in economic, civic, social, and cultural life in Boston. MOIA also promotes the recognition and public understanding of the contributions of immigrants to the City. Community rules for MOIA's social media: ANY content promoting violence, dehumanizing language, or discriminatory remarks based on protected characteristics like race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, or disability, among others, will be removed, and users engaging in such behavior may be blocked from the page.

BPS juniors and seniors, are you looking for guidance on what to do after high school? The IYA Fall 2026 Career Academy program is designed to help youth explore different career pathways, develop professional skills, and gain knowledge and resources to support your educational goals!

The program runs November 2026 through January 2027 and is for current juniors or seniors in Boston Public Schools who live in the City of Boston.

Join the last session of the year, THIS Thursday! MOIA and Pathway for Immigrant Workers (PIW) hold information sessions on green card sponsorship for low-wage immigrant workers. During the sessions, an immigration attorney gives a presentation and answers questions about the green card process. Interested? Employers and employees are welcome to attend.
