Union County is the key to holding the district for Tom Malinowski. Hit the pavement with fellow volunteers from Swing Left NYC this Saturday and help put Tom over the top!

Swing Left’s superpower is winning these kinds of close races! This year, NJ-07 is rated R+2, and Tom is running against Tom Kean, Jr. again; every voter we talk to will be critical, and every door we knock on will count!

We’ll be canvassing 35 minutes from Penn Station, via NJ Transit. We’ll send everyone who signs up directions on where to meet, so don’t worry if this is your first time going to New Jersey to canvass. Tom’s campaign will provide any training and transportation needed once we arrive at Rahway Station. Tickets to Rahway are $9.25, one way or, if you’re a Senior it’s $4.35, one way! If you’d rather drive, just meet us at the Rahway NJ Transit Station at 1pm.

Swing Left NYC got on the Big Bus this past Saturday with other NYC Volunteer Groups and headed to Western New Jersey for a day of canvassing with the Tom Malinowski campaign!

Manhattan’s Borough President, Mark Levine, joined us in Mt. Olive, NJ, as did other volunteers already on the ground who helped drive us around the district, where we were able to knock on an incredible 3400 doors!

During the training, experts from Arena will go over the most effective voter contact and mobilization strategies. You’ll learn the most effective ways to get voters to the polls and get a peek behind the curtain as to why these strategies work. The trainers will cover how to help voters make and execute an Election Day plan, and ensure that voters turn out to make their voices heard. Arena has trained more than 6,500 campaign staff and volunteers to build winning campaigns—don’t miss this opportunity to get equipped for The Last Weekend!

Swing Left and Vote Blue 2022 are sending canvassing buses to districts within a 100-mile radius of New York City every Saturday! No prior experience is necessary—volunteers are trained on the bus, often with additional training at the campaign field offices. We cover everything, including your lunch! Don’t know where to go or what to do? Swing Left does! Multiple groups are joining these ongoing, Greyhound bus rides every Saturday, and Swing Left NYC is too!

This weekend and every weekend till the election we’ve got two busses. One will be traveling locally to NJ or NY and one will go to a competitive and crucial district in PENNSYLVANIA! PA allows our canvassing to help multiple campaigns with important Governor, Senate, and local races at the same time.

The busses will leave THIS Saturday and EVERY Saturday at 8am, from Union Square, NYC, and it will take you right where you’re REALLY NEEDED every week!!! Don’t think, just go to Union Square on time (bring some snacks and some water; we’ll give you lunch) and let Swing Left take you canvassing!

Swing Left and Vote Blue 2022 are sending canvassing buses to districts within a 100-mile radius of New York City starting this week! No prior experience is necessary—volunteers are trained on the bus, often with additional training at the campaign field offices. We cover everything, including your lunch! Don’t know where to go or what to do? Swing Left does! Multiple groups will be joining these ongoing, Greyhound, bus rides every Saturday.

Our first bus will be traveling to a competitive and crucial district in PENNSYLVANIA! PA allows our canvassing to help multiple campaigns with important Governor, Senate, and local races at the same time.

Anyone is welcome to get on the bus—we’re looking for a $10 voluntary contribution from bus riders, but we can waive the fee due to need. We’re also asking organizations and individuals to help sustain this effort by becoming sponsoring angels. Let us know if you want to be a sponsor!

Join Swing Left NYC volunteers at the Stapleton Saturdays Street Fair on Staten Island Labor Day Weekend to register voters! We'll be doing high traffic voter registration during the street fair and helping to increase voter turnout for the midterm election.

The fair is a 15-minute walk from the Staten Island Ferry, so it's an easy trip! Our volunteers can also meet you at the ferry terminal if you'd like a lift. We'll have a table set up, for when you need to sit down and take a break, and there's plenty of food at the fair, so we won't go hungry!

Talking to voters face to face is one of the single most important ways you can help Democrats win! Don’t worry if you’ve never done this before—we’ll cover everything you need to know. And once you get going, you'll find that talking to voters is fun and rewarding!

Swing Left NYC helped win NY-11 for Max Rose in 2018 and we're going to turn it blue, again, in 2022!

On Saturday, August 13th, from, 3:00 to 5:00 pm, come join fellow Swing Left NYC volunteers, and volunteer leaders, at Clinton Hall, 90 Washington Street, in downtown Manhattan. We'll be hanging out, eating, drinking, and talking politics just for the fun of it!

It's been two long years since we've been able to hold a big social event and we've missed seeing all of you in-person PLUS getting to meet all our new volunteers. Over the next three months, we'll be seeing an increased pace of canvassing and GOTV events, so now’s the time to come and hang out with your fellow Swing Left NYCers. Come down and enjoy a relaxing afternoon with everyone before we all get busy helping to win the midterms for the Democrats!

Clinton Hall has outdoor seating, with good food and drinks. And, for those who want to get in a little activism with their nachos, we'll also some have letter-writing packets, with everything you need in order to do Vote Forward letters, right there, at the party! We’ll see you there!

After two years of restrictions on in-person voter contact, Swing Left NYC is finally going back to our activist roots by canvassing, door-to-door, for Tom Malinowski in NJ-07. Our very first canvass, in April of 2017, was in this district. Still reeling from the outcome of the 2016 election, we went door-to-door, talking and listening to voters. And we kept going back to both NJ-05 and NJ-07, doing the patient work of contacting voters, again and again, to make sure they came out to vote in November of 2018 and turn the House Blue.

And we did it! It was a wonderful victory in the middle of four very bad years. Tom won by 5%, and was part of a Blue Wave which gave Democrats the power to challenge the Republicans in their headlong rush towards authoritarianism. Tom won again in 2020, by a much narrower margin, 1.2%, beating Tom Kean, Jr to help give Democrats unified control of the government.

As we’re sure you know, redistricting has given Tom the short end of the stick this year. NJ-07 is now rated R+2, and Tom is running against Tom Kean, Jr. again. This cycle NJ-07 is the kind of close district in which Swing Left specializes. It’s a race where every voter we talk to will be critical, and every door we knock on will count. Swing Left’s superpower is winning these kind of close races, where our volunteer power turns out voters on election day!

On Saturday, July 9th, from 2:00-5:00 pm, we’ll be canvassing in Fanwood, which is about an hour from Penn Station via NJ Transit. We’ll send everyone who signs up directions on where to meet, so don’t worry if this is your first time going to New Jersey to canvass. Tom’s campaign will provide training for us, and any necessary transportation from Fanwood Station. If you’d rather drive, just just meet us at the Fanwood NJ Transit Station at 2pm.
