A new set of wheels is ready to serve the Town of Abington MA’s Veteran community.

This week, Deputy Secretary Andrea Gayle-Bennett joined Abington Veterans' Services, The Abington Rotary Club, and community supporters for the reveal of a new wheelchair-accessible transportation van—the town’s second vehicle dedicated to this important service.

State Senator John F. Keenan, State Representative Alyson Sullivan-Almeida, and Town Manager Michael Maresco also spoke at the event.

Made possible by a community-driven fundraising effort, the new van will provide no-cost transportation to medical appointments for Abington Veterans and Gold Star families.

The ceremony also included the reveal of custom-designed wraps on both transportation vehicles, donated by Blue Collar Customs.

Thank you to everyone who made this partnership possible in service to those who have served!
