Boston Nutrition hosts lunch for Seniors age 60+, regardless of income, in the community room, located on the lower level of the Boston Town Hall, Monday – Friday at noon (no holidays). The suggested donation for seniors 60 and over is $3.50, and a bottomless cup of coffee or tea is free. A senior may bring a guest 59 or under for just $6.00. There are games of Euchre after lunch most days, and there is a group who plays billiards and other card/board games on Wednesdays!

A quick update for residents from the NYSDEC: Starting August 24, the public can call the NEW number, 844-612-8144 Monday to Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. to reach the NECRA team helpline. Outside these hours, callers can leave a message and a call center representatives will get back to you during operational times.

The public can also email [email protected] and visit the dedicated webpage – on.ny.gov/NECRA – to sign up for updates by email.

NYSDEC and EPA will continue providing updates as fieldwork progresses and additional information becomes available.

As it was reported last night at the Town Board meeting, the Town of Boston is aware of information circulating regarding radiological surveys being conducted by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in the Town of Boston and surrounding areas.

At this time, the Town has not been provided with any additional information regarding the surveys beyond what has been made publicly available by NYSDEC and the EPA.

We understand that residents may have questions or concerns regarding the ongoing assessment. Residents are encouraged to direct questions regarding the purpose, scope, testing activities, or results of the radiological assessment to the Niagara and Erie County Radiological Assessment (NECRA) team, which is coordinating public information regarding the project.

Kearns Announces Mobile Auto Bureau Visit to Boston Town Hall Area Motorists Encouraged to Utilize DMV Services During Community Outreach Event

Buffalo, N.Y. — Erie County Clerk Michael P. Kearns announced that the Erie County Clerk’s Mobile Auto Bureau will be making a stop at Boston Town Hall on Friday, September 11, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Boston Town Hall, located at 8500 Boston State Road.

The visit is being hosted by Boston Town Supervisor Jason Keding and is part of the Erie County Clerk’s ongoing effort to bring DMV services directly into communities — particularly rural and underserved areas of Erie County.

“Access to government services shouldn’t depend on how close someone lives to a DMV office,” said Erie County Clerk Michael P. Kearns. “Our Mobile DMV is about bringing government to the people. By traveling into communities like Boston, we are making it easier for residents in rural areas to access the services they require without having to travel long distances. I thank Supervisor Keding for hosting us and for recognizing the need of bringing these services directly to the residents of Boston and the surrounding areas.”
