We started this process together as a caucus, community, and neighbors looking out for each other. We just voted on the final PROTECT Act and with overwhelming margins sent the bill to the Governor’s desk. The bill makes Massachusetts’ immigrant protections among the strongest in the nation and earned the praise of leading immigrant advocacy groups and public safety officials alike. Thank you to all of those that were a part of this process! Our deep appreciation also goes out to Speaker Mariano and Senate President Spilka for their steadfast and thoughtful leadership in bringing this bill to the floor with a spirit of collaboration and priority.
