Northeastern University City & Community Engagement Community engagement is a pillar of Northeastern University's academic plan and an integral component of its century-plus history in the city of Boston.

The Office of City and Community Engagement is the University's primary liaison with neighborhood and community groups, facilitating partnerships and dialogues between the University's students, faculty and staff and community organizations and representatives, and helping to direct University resources toward vital community-defined needs and goals.
