Long Term Support Services: Bay Cove provides a caring community in which people with developmental disabilities can achieve a full rich life. Our continuum of support includes a wide range of residential, educational and employment options. Mental Health Services: Bay Cove offers many options to help people with a mental illness as they strive to establish and maintain full, rich lives. These services are united by the philosophy that people with psychiatric disabilities can and do recover, and can become active and contributing members of their communities. We provide a wide range of programming - outpatient, crisis support, educational and residential - and we serve persons with multiple disabilities, including substance abuse and developmental delays, in addition to their mental illness. While some of the people we serve may need only short-term services for a particular issue, most receive multiple types of support in order to address all of their needs. Addiction Services: Bay Cove specializes in providing a continuum of drug and alcohol addiction services, including substance abuse prevention, detoxification, short-term residential programming, individual and group counseling, and out-patient treatment for opiate addiction. We believe that addiction is a medical condition and that with effective, long-term treatment tailored to individual needs, people with drug addiction can recover and lead productive lives. The ultimate goal of drug addiction treatment is to enable an individual to achieve lasting abstinence, but the immediate goals are to reduce drug abuse, improve the patient's ability to function, and minimize the medical and social complications of drug abuse and addiction.

Picture Day at Our ACCS Group Homes! 📸

Initiated by Abigail Swanson (ACCS Team 1 ITD), staff and residents collaborated to choose outfits, coordinate grooming support, and create meaningful backdrops such as flags representing residents’ countries of origin!

Photos were then printed for residents to keep, and displayed as canvas prints in each home. This has created a lasting, visible celebration of the individuals we serve.

Staff have seen increased self-esteem, stronger connections with Bay Cove staff, and even more moments of residents uplifting and encouraging one another. What started as pictures has become a daily reminder of pride, belonging, and the Bay Cove community 💙

Bay Cove’s Executive Director, Kevin Martone, spoke at a legislative briefing on the impact of pausing the DMH Housing Subsidy Program.

He was joined by fellow leaders from Vinfen, Advocates, and Riverside Community Care, in a panel moderated by MAMH CEO Danna Mauch, all powerful advocates for individuals who rely on this critical program. Together, we’re working to ensure everyone has a safe, supportive place to call home. 💙

Special thanks to the Massachusetts Association for Mental Health for organizing this event.

Meet Genevieve, who is training hard and running with purpose! 💙

“As someone who has seen addiction up close, I understand just how devastating the disease can be. Bay Cove’s mission is incredibly important, and I am honored to be raising money for something so personal to me. In October 2023, my brother Erin began his recovery journey. Two years ago, I got my brother back, and I’ve been grateful for his commitment to staying sober every day since.” (Genevieve)
