Our new exhibit for the 250th is coming soon, so there's limited time left to see our Halifax exhibit! Visit through June 17 to see "From the Good People of Massachusetts" which uses the records of the Massachusetts-Halifax Relief Committee to tell the story of the 1917 Halifax Explosion, the resilience of the people of Halifax, and the goodwill of the people of Massachusetts. Last May, we displayed the 1930 and 1931 Chinese Directory of New England. These were a vital resource as the Chinese community grew, and shown here is a letter from Gov. Allen printed in the inaugural 1930 issue. He writes, "Our State is deeply appreciative of the significant contributions which the Chinese people have made to our civic life."
