📢 Reminder: Polls are open until 8pm on Tuesday! On November 5th, make your voice heard – Vote YES on 5 for One Fair Wage Plus Tips on Top in Massachusetts! 📢

Massachusetts tipped workers deserve the full minimum wage plus tips on top! Join us in standing up for fairness across Massachusetts and let’s make One Fair Wage a reality – because it’s fair for workers, employers, and consumers alike.

It’s fair for Workers:
Currently, tipped workers in Massachusetts make just $6.75 an hour as a base wage. By voting YES on 5, we’re ensuring they receive the full minimum wage plus tips. Seven other states already provide this, and their restaurant industries are thriving with strong tips and stable menu prices. This law will bring greater financial stability, value workers’ skills, and help them make ends meet.

It’s fair for Employers:
Many local small businesses already pay the full minimum wage plus tips. It’s time for big restaurant corporations to do the same. This law can reduce turnover, enhance service quality, and help grow Massachusetts’ restaurant industry.

It’s fair for Consumers:
Large restaurant corporations currently rely on consumers to subsidize wages through tipping. Let’s shift this so tips are a reward for great service, not a cover for low pay.

Join us and vote YES on 5 for a fairer Massachusetts! 🗳️

Massachusetts restaurants have risen to every challenge—from wage hikes to the pandemic—proving that they can adapt while supporting their workers. It’s time to end outdated practices and vote YES on Question 5. One fair wage for all restaurant workers will strengthen our industry, reduce turnover, and build pride in workplaces across the state. In 10 years, we’ll be proud we chose fairness. Let’s lead the way once again.

Ballot Question 5, which would raise the minimum wage for tipped workers such as those in restaurants and bars, has fired up a lot of Massachusetts restaurant owners and workers. Boloco co-founder John Pepper makes the case for voting "yes."
