For more than a century, The Home has been part of the fabric of New Hampshire. Today, we’re building brighter futures across the Granite State through multiple programs that support children, young adults and families when they need it most.

Next week, we will stand alongside fellow New Hampshire nonprofits creating meaningful change for NH Gives, the state’s biggest day of giving! 🎉 And the best part? Thanks to the generosity of a New Hampshire resident, we're matching all donations, up to $10,000, dollar-for-dollar!

With an NH Gives donation, you can help The Home:
💚 Address youth homelessness and support young adults aging out of foster care
💚 Offer individualized care to students and campers with complex needs at The Wediko School and Camp Wediko
💚 Provide safe housing and support for LGBTQ+ youth
💚 Protect kids and families through our New Hampshire After-Hours Abuse and Neglect Hotline

We hope you’ll join us June 9-10! To learn more or make a gift, visit https://www.nhgives.org/organization/The-Home-For-Little-Wanderers

At age 12, Logan* was thrust into the foster care system. He believed he had no one... until The Home stepped in.

With the support of our Youth Permanency Connections Program, Logan was reconnected with his four older sisters and, over time, he formed a bond with his sister Deborah*, who welcomed him into her family through adoption. Today, Logan is surrounded by the love of a sibling who believed in him and a home filled with laughter.

This , we're celebrating stories like Logan's that demonstrate the power of permanency, family bonds and new beginnings. If you or someone you know is interested in fostering opportunities, please contact our team at [email protected].

After years in foster care, 15-year-old Logan finally found permanency through adoption by his sister with support from The Home’s Youth Permanency Connections program.

"People often believe they need to be perfect parents, have endless resources, or wait for the right time before considering adoption. The reality is that children are not looking for perfection. They are looking for love, stability, and connection."

President and CEO of The Home Lesli Suggs, LICSW, recently joined Authority Magazine for their series to explore the rewards, misconceptions and lifelong impact of fostering and adopting.

During , we’re recognizing the power of connection through this year’s theme: “More Good Days, Together.”

For generations, The Home has worked to ensure kids and families have access to the mental health supports they need to thrive. We’ve seen how the right resources and conversations can empower youth to take the next step toward healing. Connection to care, and to one another, changes lives.

That’s why The Home is committed to bringing mental health services to as many youth as possible. Together, we can help create more good days for every child. 💚

✅New memories!

In a recent collaboration with The Let's Give It Up Foundation Foundation and the Mass Cultural Council, youth from The Home in Walpole spent six weeks working alongside trained therapists and music educators to write their own original song!

The combination of therapist-guided songwriting and professional recording session at The Record Co. was highly motivating and helped our youth build confidence while exploring their creative talents. 🎶

Thank you to the Let’s Give It Up Foundation and the Mass Cultural Council for providing this unique experience for our kids!

What an unforgettable evening at Voices & Visions! 🎉

Thank you to everyone who joined The Home for an epic celebration of our youth and families, and the work being done across our organization to make better, brighter futures possible. With the generous support of our community, we raised $1.1 million, which will help us continue to provide stability and life-changing care to the kids who need us most.

This year, The Home recognized the talents of Megan Farretta, a young artist and photographer who, through her art, explores her journey from foster care to adoption, and the healing support she received through The Home. We also honored Cynthia Caruso with the 2026 President’s Award, for the extraordinary commitment she showed when adopting her younger brother Aiden, after they were reunited with the help of The Home.

Thank you to all who made this year’s event a meaningful demonstration of dedication to our kids, especially to our Title Sponsor The TJX Companies, Inc. and Fund a Future Sponsor The Thrift Shop of Boston!

Because of you, we can continue to turn hurt into hope. 💜
