To expand opportunities for youth employment, The Executive Office of Massachusetts Labor & Workforce Development launched a pilot program encouraging MassHire regional Workforce Boards in Gateway Cities to partner with employers committed to hiring youth and young adults.

Building on that effort, the MassHire North Shore Workforce Board recently partnered with Salem Public Schools to host a job fair tailored to high school students — one of many hiring events MassHire organizes to connect jobseekers of all ages and experience levels with employers across the state.

Watch and hear from local employers such as the of the North Shore and the Peabody Essex Museum about the value of hiring youth and the opportunities they’re creating for young workers.
