Our PWD crews and contractors recently wrapped up resurfacing on Marginal St., Saratoga St., Curtis St., and Everett St. - giving these roadways a fresh new look. This work builds on a record-setting 50 miles of streets resurfaced in 2025. And we’re not slowing down!

🧹 Boston, let’s keep our neighborhoods clean. Student move-in is underway across the city, and we need everyone’s help. Please remember:

🗑️ Only put trash on the curb on your scheduled pickup day.
📱 Not sure when your pickup day is? Check the Trash Day app for your collection schedule and reminders.
🚶‍♀️ Store trash properly and keep sidewalks clear so everyone can safely get around.
🐀 Trash that is not properly stored (see pics) can lead to litter and increased rodent activity.

Special thanks to our Waste Reduction and Highway Divisions, as well as our contractor, Capital Waste, for all their hard work during this busy time. We appreciate everything you do to keep our streets & sidewalks safe, clean & accessible.

With thousands of students moving into Boston, come take a ride with Code Enforcement Captain Chris “Tiger” Stockbridge as he hits busy neighborhoods and highlights the importance of properly storing your trash to keep our streets clean, help mitigate rodent activity, and keep sidewalks clear and accessible. As students settle into new homes, remember to store trash properly and put it out only on your scheduled collection day. Keeping Boston clean is a team effort!

Clothing Swap at Brighton Branch of the Boston Public Library on Thursday 8/27 from 6-7:30pm!

✅ Adults are invited to bring up to two bags of clean tops, bottoms, shoes, dresses, or accessories in good condition.
🚫 Do not bring in items that are stained, dirty, or damaged.
