Tonight's Dorchester Heights Meeting is CANCELLED.
In lieu of meeting, here are some updates that have occurred since we met last month.

Marian Manor -
Marian Manor is in the process of being sold to Joe Ikari, (owner of The Broadway - a bar/restaurant, L & Broadway and H & Broadway - two Residential buildings).
He is anticipating that the sale will close next month (it is not yet Sold).
He has met with Elected Officials this past week to start preliminary discussions around how the site can be used.
Once the Sale completes, the Community process will begin.

To Volunteer with the BNPS, please email the Volunteer Coordinator at - [email protected]. There is a need for Volunteers to help with the Illumination Event.

7:10 – 7:30pm – Jesse Johnson, Design Team Member for the Boston Parks and Recreation Department – Will present a high-level overview of the planning that is underway at Moakley Park, specifics about a proposed berm beside the Bark Park, followed by Q/A.

7:30 – 7:40pm - Lydia Polaski, Neighborhood Liaison South Boston for Mayor Michelle Wu – Update on Marian Manor and who maintains the tree grates around Dorchester Heights National Park.

The Dorchester Heights Association will be returning to meeting In-Person this month! There won't be a Zoom meeting.

We'll be meeting at the Ollie on H St., on 9/17/25, 7:00-7:30pm.

The Dorchester Heights Association's monthly meetings will be moving from the 3rd Tuesday of each month to the 3rd Wednesday of each month beginning in May, 2025. Dear South Boston Neighbors,

Please note I will hold a South Boston Transportation Listening Session tomorrow night, 6:30pm at the Condon School, as originally planned with concerned neighbors, civic groups, and small business owners to get their feedback on the South Boston Transportation Action Plan.

Although the BPDA and BTD have cancelled their presentation, it is critical for me, as your District City Councilor, to listen to your feedback so that I can continue to advocate with the city, including on the serious and legitimate concerns we heard on Thursday’s virtual meeting about pedestrian safety, public safety response times, traffic and congestion, and those from our small business community.

Please share this information about tomorrow night’s meeting, 6:30pm at the Condon School, with your family, friends, neighbors and community organizations.
