DCR asked park friends to help spread the word that they are starting to recruit for summer lifeguards and seasonal staff:

Hourly rates range up to $27; sign-on and retention bonuses of up to $1,000 are also available

An opportunity to focus on community safety issues in the park (South End section of the Southwest Corridor Park). Park neighbors are encouraged to join, with BPD, for a walk in the park, Oct. 6th, at 6pm, starting at Titus Sparrow Park and then into the Southwest Corridor.

Also from the Jamaica Plain News -- the first units in the Mildred Hailey redevelopment project will be available via a lottery for income-eligible applicants.

Two new residential buildings part of the Mildred Hailey Apartments are now accepting lottery applications.
