Nominate an iconic Boston business for the 2027 Legacy Business Awards!

The City of Boston Office of Small Business is excited to officially launch the nomination period for the fifth annual Legacy Business Awards.

By recognizing and supporting legacy businesses on an annual basis, the Legacy Business Program helps further Mayor Michelle Wu’s vision for a family-friendly, vibrant city with sustainable community businesses.

We encourage you to nominate your favorite longstanding business in Boston. To be eligible, businesses must have operated in Boston for at least 10 years.

In spring of 2027, 30 businesses will be honored at the fifth annual Legacy Business Awards after the nomination and review process.

Earlier this week, Interim Chief of Economic Opportunity and Inclusion Donald Wright visited Conga’s East Coast Hub in the Seaport District and met with Conga CEO Dave Osborne.

Conga officially opened their Boston office in July, stating their expansion “reflects the company’s commitment to bring innovation, talent and enhanced customer experiences to this next phase of growth,” in a recent press release.

Their Boston office represents nearly 15% of Conga’s U.S. workforce, bringing the company closer to customers across New England, while deepening access to one of the country’s most dynamic technology talent markets.

Congratulations to Boston Casting, Inc. on their Emmy’s win for Outstanding Casting for a Comedy Series for ‘Widow’s Bay’!

Boston Casting has operated for 30+ years and is the largest casting company in New England. They moved to their South End location in 2024 with the support of the City of Boston SPACE Grant Program.

Boston Casting specializes in casting principal roles, background extras, kids, pets and vintage cars for feature films, television series, commercials, corporate videos, web videos, unscripted programs, as well as voiceovers.
