Boston Latin School Freight Farm is a hydroponic farm out back of the Boston Latin School dining hall. Students volunteer study periods to contribute to the growth and care of various herbs, greens and soon edible flowers from seed to full grown plant. Every step is done by the students volunteering their time with help from teacher leader, Ms. Cate Arnold, and a former farmer's mom, Nancy. The Fr

eight Farm currently grows kale, lettuce and basil, with edible flowers coming soon. The farm was won by the school through a contest that also got us many appliances to improve our school's environmental friendliness, such as water bottle filling stations. Attention all freight farmers, we're having 2 orientation sessions next week for ALL farmers. Both will run from 2:15-3:00. They are on Wednesday, October 11 and Thursday, October 12.

In order to farm with us this year you MUST attend at least one of these sessions. If you are unable to attend please let us know. If you don't let us know and don't show up you will be removed from our mailing lists.
