Boston Latin School Freight Farm is a hydroponic farm out back of the Boston Latin School dining hall. Students volunteer study periods to contribute to the growth and care of various herbs, greens and soon edible flowers from seed to full grown plant. Every step is done by the students volunteering their time with help from teacher leader, Ms. Cate Arnold, and a former farmer's mom, Nancy. The Fr
eight Farm currently grows kale, lettuce and basil, with edible flowers coming soon. The farm was won by the school through a contest that also got us many appliances to improve our school's environmental friendliness, such as water bottle filling stations.
